EXUDING more confidence than Bond, Michael (Jeffrey Donovan, left) learns the hard way that he may not be as good as his new handler. Carla shows she can get to Michael’s loved ones with relative ease, forcing him to lift his game. Their relationship is similar to that of Lincoln, Michael and Susan in only with more laughs. On the home front, Madeline insists Michael attend a counselling session with her, leading to some great scenes as they try to repair their relationship. Prison Break, IT WAS only a matter of time before Dexter’s two worlds collided. After deciding to kill people smugglers Jorge and Valerie Castillo, Dexter is called out to examine his own crime scene. The Ice Truck Killer has left a surprise for Dexter— he’s returned Valerie’s body to the scene. This takes Dexter and the Ice Truck Killer’s sadistic but enthralling game to a new level. The narration can be frustrating, but the series continues to work thanks to star Michael C. Hall, who makes it difficult not to champion Dexter’s cause. BRAD and Angelina and Jay-Z and Beyonce all appear this week, but it’s more like something from Madame Tussaud’s than a Hollywood red carpet as the models are transformed for their photo shoot. The judges are impressed with most of the results, though Twiggy shows her lack of relevance by asking who Jay-Z is. Thankfully, the woman Twiggy replaced, Janice Dickinson, is back to liven up proceedings. Dickinson poses on the red carpet to test the girls’ interviewing skills. AT 20, Tully boxer Paul Fleming shows a level of maturity that would suggest he’s competed at Olympic level before. Pursuing his love of the sport and making his debut at the Olympics has come at a cost for the confident but grounded Fleming, who tells of his experiences in this profile piece. Forced to leave Tully to pursue his dream, Fleming’s quest for gold has meant not seeing his family for more than a year. It’s all he’s ever wanted, but you sense that if Fleming doesn’t win a medal, it won’t matter too much because the love of his family is prize enough.
