Mad about TV
REMEMBER when everyone turned to Channel 9 for a big news story? Not any more. Last Wednesday night’s ratings— Barack Obama’s historic US election win led all the bulletins— shows just how far Nine’s news crown has slipped. In Melbourne ABC News rated highest with 426,000 viewers. Seven had 422,000 and Nine was a distant third on 373,000. Nine was third nationally as well with 1.21 million viewers (Seven had 1.60 million and the ABC 1.25 million).
