IF YOU saw it on Kenny’s World you’d laugh it off as fiction, but witnesses to an incident during filming of a Melbourne TV commercial swear this story is true. An insurance executive, in town for the filming of a new commercial, was caught with his pants down in a full Portaloo, as it was hitched to the back of a unit truck and driven to a new location. The poor soul spent the next half-hour madly calling the only person he knew on the set, who unfortunately had her phone switched to silent while the crew recorded sound. By the time the client’s plight was discovered, he had travelled on his throne from Essendon airport to Port Melbourne— an uncomfortable trip along the freeway. He was given a hearty round of applause as he was returned, red-faced but good-humoured, in the cabin of the truck an hour later.
