OF TWISTS AND TWINS

FELICITY Huffman, who was nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal of a transsexual in 2005’s Transamerica, was happy with the unique script twist.

But she was worried that 20-year-old identical twins Charlie and Max Carver, who would be playing her troublesome teenage sons Porter and Preston, would arrive with egos.

‘‘You are always worried with young actors because it’s an odd business. Often times they don’t have a work ethic and have this odd sense of entitlement, which I’m sure I had as a young actor,’’ Huffman says.

‘‘But Max and Charlie are respectful, work hard and are nice, smart boys. They’re a pleasure to be around.’’

Meanwhile, Joshua Moore portrays sensitive middle child Parker, who’s transformed into an angelic 14-year-old technical nerd. And youngest child Penny is more in the background, but has a ‘‘sparky’’ personality.
