SAINTS GETS A SURGICAL STRIKE

Herald Sun - Switched On - - News -

THIS isn’t the first time All Saints has had major surgery.

In 2004, Seven’s head of drama John Holmes relocated the drama from the hospital’s Ward 17 to the emergency department in a major reboot designed to attract viewers.

Actors including Martin Lynes (Dr Luke Forlano) and Jenni Baird (Paula Morgan) were written out and Alexandra Davies (Young Lions) came on board in the wake of star Erik Thomson’s departure.

Holmes had considered a spin-off series at the time— an Accident and Emergency All Saints. It looks like that idea has now been incorporated, with the Medical Response Unit, into the existing show.
