Vince goes by the book

Herald Sun - Switched On - - Of The Out Box -

VINCE Colosimo is in hot demand after the success of his role in Underbelly, but we hear his latest character is a far cry from that of slain Melbourne gangster Alphonse Gangitano. Colosimo has backed up that performance with a guest role in the ABC comedy The Librarians, now filming in Melbourne. ‘‘After watching Underbelly we knew Vince would be perfect for our show,’’ director Wayne Hope says with a laugh. ‘‘Alphonse Gangitano may have been a murderous gangster, but he also came across as quite bookish and we really saw his inner librarian.’’ Colosimo is also on screen in the SBS drama series Carla Cametti PD.
