Ladette To Lady, M Channel 9, Tuesday, 9.30pm Wayward Aussie girls Duration: 1 hour

COOKERY teacher Rosemary Shrager says the vulgar stars of Australia’s Ladette to Lady were among the worstbehaved the show has encountered.

Shrager, who taught wayward girls from the US and the UK before tackling the Aussies, was shocked by their behaviour from the moment they arrived in England. How do the Australian ladettes stack up against the UK and US girls you’ve mentored? I was shocked, seriously shocked. They came in with the most horrible attitude I’ve ever seen. They were loud, rude and in your face. Did they have any redeeming qualities? These girls actually wanted so badly to change, they wanted to badly please us and do the right thing most of the time, which is a change. Is it daunting to counsel girls when you aren’t qualified in that field? I am not a counsellor, but I have had problems in my life and can understand what they are feeling sometimes. We just wanted to make these girls better, get them out of lying and get them out of drinking so much.

Mentor: Rosemary Shrager.
