A Rush job
Rstar Ashley Zukerman has made a quick recovery from injury. Zukerman, who plays Michael Sandrelli in the Channel 10 police drama, was lucky to escape serious harm after being knocked off his bike by a cement truck in early March. His bike went under the heavy vehicle, but the actor managed to roll out of the truck’s way.
Zukerman sustained bruising and other minor injuries and was moving gingerly when he returned to set.
Zukerman, however, would not let the mishap get in the way of a lightning trip to Cannes with co-star Rodger Corser.
Corser and Zukerman flew into France last weekend and were gone by Tuesday — just enough time to promote the show at the MIPCOM entertainment market— so they could resume filming on the second season of the crime drama.
Before leaving Cannes, the boys said the moment they touched down in Melbourne they’d be jumping into a car and heading up the Calder Highway for filming in Bendigo.
Corser says the quick trip to Cannes was good for him and the show because of its huge international sales potential.
‘‘It’s now going to 50 territories internationally,’’ Corser says.
Ten is yet to announce a date for the second-season premiere of but the show is expected to be moved from its original 9.30pm timeslot to 8.30pm.
Former regular Jolene Anderson is an addition to the cast as cop Shannon Henry.
