SOPHIE Falkiner is married, but even she fell under the spell of charming Canadian crooner Michael Buble. Falkiner, 35, left new son Jack and her four-year-old daughter in the care of her husband Tony Thomas, chaperoning Buble around his home town of Vancouver for Michael Buble’s Canada, a one-hour lifestyle and travel special in the lead-up to the Winter Olympics. ‘‘Not only was I lucky to travel to some of the most beautiful places on Earth, but to have the charming and fun Michael Buble as my personal guide was a treat I am thrilled to share,’’ Falkiner says. ‘‘Canada has so much to offer.’’ Buble’s love affair with Australia is no secret. The Grammy Award-winning artist was chosen by Foxtel as its ambassador for its Winter Olympic Games coverage starting in February. A sports nut since ‘‘before I can remember’’, Buble is part-owner of the Vancouver Giants, a junior ice hockey team. ‘‘Commentating and sharing my love of Canada on TV is just an extension of what I do as an entertainer,’’ Buble says with a grin. Michael Buble’s Canada screens tonight at 7.30pm on Fox8.
