New-look TV liftout for readers

NEXT Wednesday heralds a new era in our coverage of TV, gadgets, gaming, home entertainment and the internet. In place of the Guide will be our exciting new section, Switched On. We want you, our readers, to feel a sense of ownership of the new section so we’ve created a forum for your participation. Not only will there be reader letters, we’ll also run a weekly celebrity question-answer column where you get to ask the stars questions. The launch issue will feature Shaun Micallef, who will be followed by Neighbours star Margot Robbie. Send your letters and questions for Shaun and Margot to switched@news.com.au

McCune’s proposal

SEA Patrol’s Lisa McCune is going to get hitched again, but not as part of the show’s plot. The actor hopes to renew her wedding vows to her husband of 10 years, Tim Disney. McCune, 38, met Disney on the set of Blue Heelers, where he was part of the film crew. The pair will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary on February 18. ‘‘I want to renew our vows, which I better tell Tim about,’’ McCune says. ‘‘My wedding dress was stolen a few years ago and now that I have a daughter ( Remy) I really wish I could show her my dress or do the hand-down thing, so this means I can get another one.’’
