I’m thinking about buying a Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone. Is it a smartphone? Howdo you rate it for features, price, use and value against the Apple iPhone? I’m 65 and not really into apps, but I’m looking for a mobile that’s easy to use with good features and a large screen that’s easy to read. If you are looking for a phone with a large screen, you’ve picked well in the Galaxy S. They don’t come much bigger than this phone’s 4-inch display. And it has the benefit of being a Super AMOLED (Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) screen, which means it is brighter than the average screen and easy to see, even in daylight. This smartphone uses Google’s Android software which, though slick, offers fewer apps than Apple. It comes with a capable 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera and high-definition video recording. In short, it stacks up well against the iPhone and should serve you well.
