★★★★ THIS strategy title puts the player’s Xbox 360 avatar at the centre of the action. As a towering figure surrounded by tiny people, the player uses blueprints to build a variety of buildings and sets the citizens in each town to work. Each location becomes a thriving, industrious community and the player has a lot to juggle. A few clunky elements don’t hold back what is an addictive experience with plenty of surprises. Out now.

★★★★★ REAL Racing 2 is an incredible achievement. Simulation racing in a field of 16 cars around realistically rendered courses, complete with smooth, tilt-based steering? That’s about the size of it, and the stunning visuals and compelling racing is ably backed by a full career mode and a garage boasting 30 licensed cars, including the McLaren MP4-12C and 2010 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500. Out now.
