★★★★ IT’S the lightest e-book reader on the market and, until recently, has been one of the most basic. The second coming of the Kobo is more advanced, though, and features an important addition: wireless internet access. The 221g comes preloaded with 100 classic novels. But should you want more straight away, you can connect this Kobo to a wireless network and download modern tomes. The new model also has a 16-level greyscale E Ink screen that operates faster, space for an SD memory card to store more books, 10-day battery life, quilted back and it’s available in three colours. This e-reader still takes a while to load, though, text input is fiddly and there is no touchscreen.
