GOOD BAD

IT IS official. Hamish Blake is Australia’s favourite TV personality... and the most annoying.

Switched On readers have had their say and the results are in for our TV poll.

More than 2500 readers voted for their favourite and not-so-favourite TV stars and shows.

In a major upset, Toni Collette (The United States of Tara) pipped Rebecca Gibney (Packed to the Rafters) as Favourite Aussie Actress.

Gibney can take solace that Rafters was voted Favourite Aussie TV Program.

The Mentalist’s Simon Baker was a runaway winner in the Favourite Aussie Actor category.

Baker also easily won Sexiest Male TV Star and Jennifer Hawkins was voted Sexiest Female.

A standout, for all the wrong reasons, was Warnie, which swamped Worst Aussie TV Program.

Viewers had plenty to gripe about but “ TV shows not starting on time” and “too many advertisements” stood out from the pack.

Other big winners were Dennis Cometti who beat cricket legend Richie Benaud as Favourite Sports Commentator, and Shaun Micallef, who was voted Favourite Aussie TV Presenter.

Eddie McGuire had the dubious honour of winning Most Over-Exposed TV Star.

A big thank you to Switched On readers for participating in the TV poll. Have fun reading the results.
