MICHAEL KORS IPHONE WALLET CLUTCH

HI-TECH and high fashion do not always mix. Pocket protectors are yet to receive a haute couture makeover, and geek chic doesn’t extend to World of Warcraft either.
But there is hope for gadget fans who want to spruce up their smartphones.
Mulberry recently released a miniature handbag for the iPhone — the $250 Daria Mini Messenger — and now American designer Michael Kors has joined the pack at a mercifully lower price.
The designer’s offerings include the Wallet Clutch designed to fit the iPhone 4 or earlier 3GS.
Most importantly for fashionistas, the case is made of full-grain Nappa leather in a choice of patent black or metallic gold.
You might think the latter is gaudy, but when trying to make your iPhone stand out there’s no reason to hold back.
Unlike most cases, this case packages your phone and important cards together, creating a makeshift wallet. It closes like a purse and the inside flap has a pouch for documents.
It also features a handstrap, making this case a self-contained unit. If it also held keys it might be all one needed when leaving home.
Before you rush to order one, though, there are some caveats. This iPhone case frames your iPhone’s screen with a raised, gold border, making things tricky to press. Plus, the biggest frustration comes when you take calls: you must wrap the case behind the phone or leave a large flap dangling from your head.
This shouldn’t worry those dedicated to the Kors, however, as this case really does stand-out from its rivals.
