Showtime Premiere, 11.15pm
★★★★ If you are having one of those days, choose your viewing time wisely for this blackest of black comedies. For the central figure here — a sad-sack Jewish academic with marriage, money and faith issues — is having one of those lives. Yet another warped masterpiece from the Coen brothers (No Country for Old Men), who have a field day with the film’s suburbs-in-the-1960s setting. Stars Michael Stuhlbarg. L.P.
