LG OPTIMUS TAB
LG, $TBA lge.com.au Ten inches is too big and 7 inches is too small, according to LG. The South Korean company’s research found that 8.9 inches is just right for tablet owners who want to comfortably hold their gadget and type with both hands in landscape mode. The resulting Optimus Tab is a slender unit that weighs 100g less than its big competitor at 630g, and uses a powerful dual-core 1GHz processor to run Google’s Android Honeycomb software, the first designed for tablets. In addition, the Tab can record five-megapixel photos or 720p videos with two camera lenses on its back, though it can only play this in old-school red-and-blue 3D on its screen or in stereoscopic 3D when connected to a TV. Due for release in March.
