DIANNE BUTLER OUT OF THE BOX
OBVIOUSLY I don’t need to tell you this, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with installing your children in front of the television for hours at a time. Especially if they’re going to be watching a Phineas and Ferb marathon.
I love that a great slab of television is called a marathon, and so is a long race. Take Two is the talk show spin-off from Phineas and Ferb, the fantastic series that I really need to spend more time in front of.
I don’t know how I’m going to swing this, but I think I’ll start by recording these episodes today and saving them for that week off I’ll have if I’m lucky enough to ever break my arm. Or hand. Something like that. Something debilitating but not terminal.
Reasonably impressive lineup for Take Two’s debut. They’re only two minutes long, scattered throughout the Phineas and Ferb episodes this afternoon, so whoever they went with was going to have to give us something and give it to us quick.
Neil Patrick Harris is an ideal choice because he can do magic tricks. He alleges. Well, he makes Ferb disappear and brings back a cartoon blender in his place. Everything’s a cartoon here, except the celebs. I love Neil Patrick Harris, and he’s adorable here.
So is Emma Roberts, which shocked me. She’s in Scream 4, which gives her massive credibility as far as I’m concerned. They get her to do a horror movie scream and it’s very good.
Less interesting was Taylor Swift. She seems tedious. Jack Black is on at 6.30pm, the same time the Kids Choice Awards start. He’s hosting this year, but watch Take Two first, it’s only a couple of minutes. He’s fantastic. In everything. Ever see that Tim Robbins film Bob Roberts? He was in that, a complete creep, still hilarious. Take Two Celebrity Talk Show With Phineas& Ferb Disney Channel, from 12.30pm Kids Choice Awards Nickelodeon, 6.30pm
Hilarious: Jack Black
