SEND YOUR QUESTIONS TO TECHSPERT@NEWS.COM.AU I have a Pentax Optio S6 digital camera, andwhentaking a photo in sunlight I cannot see what I am capturing due to the glare. I must take pot luck and then view the results later. Is there a digital camera available without this problem? The problem you have identified is widespread, unfortunately. It’s a problem inherent to LCD screens. As these screens require a backlight to operate, too much light at the front of the screen simply creates glare. It’s worth combing your camera settings for a way to boost the screen brightness to compensate for this ( though this will consume more battery). Alternatively, you could invest in a digital camera with a moving LCD viewfinder or an optical viewfinder.
