WOULD you like a bunch of comedians sitting around making fun of your wedding? That’s what The Chaser team is set to do with its ‘‘ alternative’’ live commentary of the Royal Wedding for ABC2.

They returned to TV last year to take aim at Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott with Yes We Canberra! Now they have Prince William and Kate Middleton in their sights.

‘‘ The Chaser couldn’t be more thrilled to be covering the big day. And who knows, if it goes well hopefully they ask us back next year to cover the divorce,’’ Julian Morrow says in a taste of what’s to come. Let’s face it, The Chaser’s Royal Wedding Commentary couldn’t be worse than Balls of Steel. What was Craig Reucassel thinking when he agreed to that? The Aussie version of the UK prank show is an absolute shocker. That show should eliminate Reucassel from sending up anyone else for the rest of his life.

Come to think of it, fellow Chaser Andrew Hansen should be banned for life as well after fronting Strictly Speaking last year.

He filmed 13 episodes of the ABC speech-making series but only five episodes
