The makeover show launched with around 1.4 million viewers, but it petered out.
In 2009, her Sydney-based radio show with McKenney also ended.
In recent times Kruger has done the occasional adventure or celebrity report for current affairs show Sunday Night.
The downside of Seven being so successful in the ratings is that opportunities to host new shows have just about dried up.
Kruger says she is committed to Dancing with the Stars, but would love to work with McPherson to find and develop other TV formats.
If you look at people like Andrew O’Keefe, Larry (Emdur), Grant (Denyer) and me, there are only so many vehicles ( TV shows) to go around,’’ Kruger says.
‘‘ People say ‘ you need to develop your own thing’ (but) it is very difficult.’’
Whatever the future holds for Kruger — baby or not, her own TV show or not — she seems content.
Maybe that is because, after the turmoil of her marriage break-up, she is relishing some stability in her life.
‘‘ Craig is a fantastic partner,’’ she says.
‘‘ He totally understands this business. We always have something to talk about.’’ Dancing with the Stars Channel 7, Sunday, 6.30pm (Below left): Craig McPherson with Kruger and (below) Kruger with Geoffrey and Brynne Edelsten.
