I’ve talked to two actors in the last month who auditioned for parts in The Slap and didn’t get them. Both dudes you would know. Household names. Plus great at their job.
The first guy, I hadn’t seen any of the show when he and I spoke and I thought, God, if this bloke didn’t make it, either The Slap is really, really bad or really, really good.
Until I watched Alex Dimitriades in tonight’s episode, I had assumed ‘‘ my’’ two actors had tried out for Hector. Now I’m not sure.
I’ve loved Dimitriades since he played Warren Lanfranchi in Blue Murder. Harry is a showy role, no question, but in the wrong hands this could’ve been ugly.
Where does this go now? Harry should probably try to get one of the inner circle on side.
