DOWNTON ABBEY, Channel 7, 8.30pm

Herald Sun - Switched On - - Sunday -

IT’S a catfight, Downtonstyle. Tempers flare when Cora Crawley (Elizabeth McGovern, pictured) stands up to Isobel’s bullying. Faced with the prospect of losing control of the convalescent house, Isobel flees Downton to work for the Red Cross. And the younger generation of Crawley women — Mary and Sybil — make some controversial romantic choices. Mary is carrying a torch for cousin Matthew — apparently above board in this era — but is contemplating a match with the social-climbing Sir Richard. Mary’s younger sister has growing feelings for the family’s Irish chauffeur.
