DANNIIMinogue is making a major splash in the fashion world. At the Wimbledon tennis championship, Pippa Middleton was cheering on Andy Murray in a frock designed by Minogue. The creation was part of Minogue’s top-selling Project D collection. The label has also been worn to perfection by Denmark’s Princess Mary. Minogue, however, says fashion is a brutal business. ‘‘I did a couple of business talkswith all these women in the room and I said if anyone is thinking of going into fashion, don’t. And the ones who were obviously already in fashion — I could hear their wails of laughter. I was speaking to my business partner last night and saying you couldn’t possibly do this unless it was a passion. Chicks love frocks. We love wearing them, reading about them, dreaming about them. It’s like boys and cars, it’s in our DNA.’’
