Aunt we a big girl now

Herald Sun - Switched On - - On The Couch - HOLLY BYRNES

IT’S baby talk, not dreaded wedding disasters, that gets reality starlet Kim Kardashian all chatty like a girlfriend you’ve just met for cocktails.

But the don’t-call-me-a-celebrity celebrity is no Cosmopolitan drinker— at least this time— spooning honey into a fine china cup of chamomile tea.

While her life is a blur of promotional visits (like this one for E! Channel), publicity photo shoots and the occasional walk by the paparazzi with her new beau, Kanye West, the 32-year-old appears at ease in a velvet lounge chair at Sydney’s Sheraton On The Park hotel, sharing news about the arrival of sister Kourtney’s second child, Penelope.

Not surprisingly for this fearless (some say shameless) family, the birth was shot for the latest season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

She’s clearly a doting aunt to the new addition and her nephew Mason, who Kim says has fallen for his infant sibling.

After the scandal of her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries, Kardashian says she’s set new boundaries for herself and spotlight-savvy West.

‘‘ We all have our comfort zones for what we’ll share and what we won’t and we maybe learn by sharing too much along the way. In my new relationship, I hold back a little bit. I don’t share everything. Yes, Kanye has been in a few episodes but that’s my natural life. He’s around when I’m filming but I don’t think I’d really share our intimate dinner dates, which I would have so willingly done before, and that’s OK.’’

The stunning brunette says she’s a ‘‘ different person’’ since the marriage split.

‘‘ I’ve grown up, I’ve really grown up and that situation made me grow up. I feel in a really good place right now.’’ Keeping Up With The Kardashians, E!, Tuesday, 8.30pm
