DIANNE BUTLER OUT OF THE BOX
I’M going to assume if you’re going to watch this, you remember Bernie Banton, whose campaigning and then death in 2007 introduced mesothelioma to many people. Anthony Hayes is great as Banton, a (seemingly) healthy man in his 30s when we first meet him, working on a dusty James Hardie factory floor. And when I say dusty, I mean asbestos dust. It’s considered safe, though, because it’s white, not blue asbestos, which has been banned. Questions are starting to be asked, though, by ABC journalist Matt Peacock, and by Eve Francis a health commission inspector.
