AT what point does rata­touille be­come tomato sur­prise? I only ask be­cause of the whole touchy cham­pagne/meth­ode cham­p­enoise thing. You wouldn’t make rata­touille in 15 min­utes. You could, how­ever, make Jamie’s tomato sur­prise. In the­ory any­way. Same goes for his goulash with pork and rice. His kedgeree, how­ever, seems great and to­tally doable. His chicken and quinoa salad looks lovely, though pos­si­bly pricey, plus you’ll need fresh ev­ery­thing so maybe leave it for a day when you can shop. And buy a com­mer­cial chop­ping ma­chine while you’re at it.
