Herald Sun - Switched On - - Saturday - MICHAEL PALIN’S BRAZIL, ABC1, 7.30pm

EVERYONE thinks of him as the man who’s been everywhere, according to Michael Palin. Please. I feel like turning it off already. And why is it called Michael Palin’s Brazil here, like he’s Colonel Kurtz, and in the UK it’s Brazil with Michael Palin? Probably not his fault, and either way, it’s a gorgeous country. He’s never watched his wildlife documentaries though, has he? Doesn’t know a capybara when he sees one. Barely knows a horse either. But he does say melting pot a lot. He’s in the south tonight— Paraty, formerly rich from gold, Blumenau, rich with models — then west, and the Pantanal, a beautiful wetland.
