DIANNE BUTLER OUT OF THE BOX

Herald Sun - Switched On - - Gadgets - THE HOUR ABC1, 9pm

SEASON two and the writers seem to have got a grip and turned the focus inwards, where it always should’ve been, on the main characters. Especially The Hour’s presenter Hector Madden (Dominic West) who’s gone off the rails somewhat and is hanging out all the time at a club in Soho and getting his photo taken. Hard to care about too much though, when it’s 1957 and the government’s getting everyone in a flap about the bomb. Of course, the real crime is much closer to home. But don’t examine the plot too closely. Just enjoy being allowed to smoke at your desk.
