KIDS, back in ye olden days, cook­ing shows were only ever on telly in the morn­ing. Strange but true. An­other bizarre fact: Lor­raine Pascale, as com­pe­tent as she is, tastes noth­ing. She picks up a spoon as if she’s about to, then doesn’t. To­day she’s do­ing au­tumn food — soup (but­ter­nut squash) and sticky pork ribs and pasta, which at least she makes her­self, and strings it up on those coathangers you get from the drycleaner. You could make the Swiss roll cake. It’s easy. Choco­latey. Looks fan­tas­tic. Her pep­per­mint creams and choco­late fudge might also come in handy.
