A STRENGTH of Downton is its balanced sto­ry­telling. Cre­ator Ju­lian Fel­lowes does not fo­cus on life up­stairs at the ex­pense of go­ings on down­stairs. Tonight, the fam­ily vis­its Rose and her par­ents in the High­lands, which doesn’t go smoothly. Prob­lem is, the fam­ily’s hosts at Dunea­gle Cas­tle don’t like each other. Mean­while, Car­son is adamant the ser­vants will not cut loose while the fam­ily’s away. DD
