Newsreaders must improve

Herald Sun - Switched On - - On The Couch -

I have just returned to live in Australia after living in England for seven years. I amstruggling with the non-professionalism of the newsreaders and presenters this country has. They all sound like screaming banshees, terrible diction, interrupting guests with what they think is funny, and highpitched rantings— it hurts my ears. Networks should send them to dialect coaches to help them speak in modulated tones, and manners coaches, if they exist, to teach them to show some respect. Also, note they are there to read the news and report on world and current events. I amnot interested in their opinions.
