Sony’s newest full-frame camera still scrapes under the $2000 bar and adds more features to its still-compact form. The A7 sequel adds five-axis in-body image stabilisation for blur-free photos, an autofocus speed boost of up to 30 per cent, and higher bit-rate video recording. Its body has also been refined, with a deeper grip, magnesium alloy frame, larger shutter button, and better moisture resistance. The 24.3-megapixel resolution, hinged LCD screen, OLED viewfinder, plus wi-fi and NFC carries over from the last model, and this camera captures photos with impressive depth and clarity. It still omits a built-in flash, however, and offers limited battery life.
