Wonderland saves the best for last

There have been love triangles, unexpected pregnancies, illicit hook ups and plenty more in the fictional Wonderland apartments over the past three seasons.

But some of the biggest shocks are saved for the finale which airs tonight as Tom prepares to wed Sasha (Simone Kessell).

Michael Dorman, who plays Tom, says the cast were excited to approach the finale as it will have fans on tenterhooks, waiting to see how the final scenes play out.

“Once all the sparks are exposed within a story, that’s when you get your fireworks,” he says.

“And when I first started reading the script for the finale there was a lot of sparking points that build up to big climactic moments.”

With the cast still waiting on word for a fourth season, this may be the place where the residents of Wonderland finsh their onscreen journey.

So would Dorman be happy with the ending?

“I’d really love to make more of it,” he says. “We’ve got more stories to tell so we’re all crossing our fingers (for a fourth season).”

Adding to the desire for more episodes, he says, is that the cast and crew have formed strong bonds during the two years of working on the show.

“Everyone was so great on and off the set that it made it really great to explore not just the storylines, but the people that you were working with,” says Dorman.

“I’m sure that if you had the best storylines but the players didn’t get along it would become arduous. We were lucky that we all got along off set too.”

And while he became close friends with Anna Bamford, who played his flatmate and love interest Miranda, it was another woman on set who stole his heart, says Dorman.

“Tracey Mann played my mum and she was mother hen from the get go,” he says. “She was my mother on and off the set.”
