She’s most known for her role as the likeable Lynette Scavo on Desperate Housewives. But now Felicity Huffman is making waves with her latest role in critically acclaimed anthology drama, American Crime.

The Emmy award-winning actress plays Barb Hanlon, an acrimonious ex-wife, a grieving mother of a slain son and an ardent racist.

Huffman admits that taking on the role of the unlikable Hanlon is a big leap for her.

“As an actor you always have to endorse the character you’re playing. Even if it’s someone awful, you have to figure out a way to get behind it and find a point of view you can understand,” she says.
