2012’s Bravely De­fault turned a lot of Ja­panese role-play­ing game tropes on their head, chang­ing up the turn-based bat­tle sys­tem and min­imis­ing an­noy­ing ran­dom en­emy en­coun­ters. Its se­quel doesn’t rev­o­lu­tionise things as much, yet Bravely Se­cond is still a meaty ad­ven­ture with fun di­ver­sions. Gor­geous 16-bit era vi­su­als, tweak­able dif­fi­culty and quirky char­ac­ters make for a mem­o­rable jour­ney.

If you sully this IP68 phone with pizza fin­gers, you can sim­ply rinse it clean un­der a tap. It will sur­vive in up to 1.5m of wa­ter (up from 1m in the Galaxy S5) and you don’t need to plug its ports to pro­tect it as they are pro­tected by in­ter­nal rubber seals.
