Sony is boosting its waterproof Walkman range with this model that is now able to cope with salt water. It comes with two types of earbuds — one set for dry land and another for beneath the waves. To use the Walkman, you must add music by connecting files to a computer and dragging it into the device. We tested them doing laps of a pool and found loud music worked much better than an audiobook for listening over the splash of swimming strokes. You get a few odd looks but you could be the envy of every other person in the pool playing mind games as they go up and down that black line.
