Herald Sun - Switched On - - GADGETS & GAMES -

This game’s visual design may be monochromatic and drawn with simple lines, but this belies its rich puzzle gameplay. The sequel to last year’s cult classic, BOXBOXBOY! builds on the same core design. Players are able to sprout a box chain from their boxy body, and these can hook on to ledges, create protection from lasers, or build platforms across gaps. Later puzzles can be maddening but the game design is elegant. If you judge headphones on looks, these, available in bright colours, are the pick of the bunch. They feel solid and are designed to work with Sony’s Hi-Res audio devices as well as smartphones. The 40mm speakers deliver impressive sound with effective noise-cancellation. The hard case offers good protection and they boast a 20-hour battery life. The detachable cord does not have a remote control so you need to reach for controls even when using a cable.
