This lamp, in combination with an update to Philips’ Hue range, lets you light up your house just by speaking to your phone. The company has updated its Bridge device that connects the lights to the internet so they can accept commands from Apple’s personal assistant Siri. That includes the cute Hue Go that you can turn on and change colours by asking Siri nicely. The updated lamp, which features a button on its rounded back for quick changes, can also be programmed to light up to signify events, like sunsets, and features seven lighting effects and colours. It sits strangely with the cord coming out the front, however, and you’ll need a third-party app to issue voice commands from an Android phone. $150 / APPLE.COM/AU
