A BRICK was thrown at a de­fence­less boy, 17, when 30 to 50 youths, be­lieved to be from the Spring­vale and Dan­de­nong area, gate­crashed a house party at Malvern East on Fe­bru­ary 4.

The teen was as­saulted by mul­ti­ple of­fend­ers around 11pm.

One threw a house brick at his head as he lay on the ground.

The boy suf­fered se­ri­ous in­juries, which re­quired ex­ten­sive surgery.

Po­lice have re­leased an im­age of the home (above) where the as­sault oc­curred in the hope of prompt­ing a wit­ness to come for­ward.

They are seek­ing a man of African ap­pear­ance, aged 18-20 and with black dread­locks, who wore jeans and no shirt, who they be­lieve may be able to as­sist their in­quiries.

TWO ter­ri­fied Ab­bots­ford res­i­dents were re­peat­edly threat­ened with a weapon by three bur­glars who ran­sacked their Lan­gridge St house about 8.30am on March 24.

A large amount of prop­erty was stolen.

Two men have been ar­rested.

Po­lice have re­leased an im­age of an­other man (be­low) who they be­lieve may be able to as­sist in their in­quiries. De­scribed as of cau­casian ap­pear­ance and aged in his late 30s to early 40s, he wore a grey sweater and blue jeans.

PASQUALE Zaf­fina (be­low) has failed to ap­pear at court on theft and bur­glary charges.

Three war­rants have been is­sued for the 46year-old’s ar­rest.

Zaf­fina is 175cm tall, of medium build, with blue eyes, grey hair, and a tanned com­plex­ion.

He is known to fre­quent the Hop­pers Cross­ing, Sun­shine and Footscray areas.

A YOUNG woman says a man ex­posed him­self to a her on a bus from Tarneit to Hop­pers Cross­ing about 7.15pm on March 13. She says he boarded the bus in the Tarneit area.

De­scribed as of cau­casian ap­pear­ance and aged in his mid-40s to early 50s, the man was said to be wear­ing a grey longsleeved T-shirt, sun­glasses, and a light brown hat.
