TIME magazine has asked the Trump Organisation to take down a fake front cover, celebrating Donald Trump’s business record, on display in several of his golf clubs.

A Washington Post journalist saw the Time cover during a visit to one of the clubs and, after investigating, reported it was a fake, and on the walls of at least four other venues.

According to a spokeswoman for the US magazine, Time has asked the Trump Organisation, currently run by the US President’s sons, to take down the covers.

The Republican President has been at loggerheads with much of the US media since last year’s campaign, accusing them of peddling “fake news” about him.
