MORE CUPS OF KINDNESS

Herald Sun - - NEWS -

IF you’ve tried all the ideas in last Tuesday’s column for cleaning stained cups and struck out, here’s a couple more tips from readers.

Eliza from Mornington uses a $14-a-tub cream cleaner containing bicarb, coconut soap and orange oil from the health shop.

“I have in the past used bicarb alone, which works quite well for light stains, and cream cleansers, but neither have left the china looking as good, with some leaving the inside of the cups looking matt,” she says.

And several readers say cleaning erasers, also known as magic erasers or miracle erasers, work every time.

“They are great for cleaning marks off walls and residue left by sticky labels, but mostly I use them all the time on my mugs and cups and they come up sparkling every time,” says Jenny from Tassie.
