Lib veteran to resign from group
A LONG-time Liberal party figure has signalled his intentions to resign from the state’s property development group.
The likely departure of Development Victoria deputy chairman Tony De Domenico follows allegations he promoted the alleged head of the Calabrian mafia to a prominent chamber group.
The Herald Sun understands Mr De Domenico has informed Development Victoria of his intentions to step down.
The state government was last night yet to confirm whether it had received formal notice of his resignation.
Fairfax reported Mr De Domenico had used his position as president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to make alleged mobster Tony Madafferi a chamber member last year.
