Herald Sun - - NEWS -

TWO people have been arrested and charged in Sydney in connection with the fatal shooting of a man on the Mornington Peninsula.

The victim, Joshua Dipietro, 31, was found in a car with a gunshot wound to his head on Eastbourne Road in Rosebud on September 3 last year.

He was taken to hospital but died the following night.

A 25-year-old man and a 31year-old woman were arrested at Smithfield in Sydney’s west on Monday night.

The man has been charged with murder. The woman faces charges of being an accessory to murder.

An application will be made to extradite the pair, who were set to appear before Sydney’s Fairfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday afternoon.

The charges follow the arrest of another man in Rosebud last year.

He was charged with one count of murder and three counts of conduct endangering life on September 5.

His arrest followed an overnight siege at a house in the seaside town.

Mr Dipietro, of Glen Waverley, was ambushed and shot in his friend’s car after he had just left a Father’s Day lunch on the Peninsula.
