THE hunt for a man who brutally assaulted a woman jogging along the Middle Park foreshore last year has been ramped up.

Sex Crime Detectives are narrowing in on the offender, who grabbed the then 31-yearold from behind as she ran along Beaconsfield Pde between 11pm and 11.30pm on February 5, 2017.

The man forced the woman face first into the sand and sexually assaulted her during the attack.

The woman was saved by two passers-by, a man and woman.

The offender, believed to be aged 20-30-years-old, fled the beach and has not been seen since. The man (above) was caucasian, about 178cm tall with a medium build, lightcoloured eyes and lightcoloured hair.

He was wearing a hooded jumper and shorts and was carrying a large, black bag.

Detectives would also like to speak to the passers-by.
