HEALTH BOSS TO RESCUE

Herald Sun - - NEWS -

THE US surgeon general helped treat a passenger who fell ill on his flight this week.

Jerome Adams, an anaesthesiologist, said the call went out for help on the Delta Air Lines jet as it prepared to fly to Jackson, Mississippi.

Dr Adams tweeted that a doctor had been asked for.

The passenger lost consciousness when the plane was on the ground in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Dr Adams and two nurses responded.

Dr Adams said the patient had been taken to hospital and was doing well.
