TONY’S NOTES

Highfields' Own - - REAL ESTATE - — Tony Franke, principal of Ray White Toowoomba Range

Hello and welcome again to the latest edition of Highfields’ Own magazine.

The year is flying along and as I write this it’s hard to believe Easter is just around the corner.

In regards to the local real estate market I am sure that I sometimes sound like a broken record, but the fact is with the half-acre to acre properties in Highfields, there is simply very little on the market.

Buyers are crying out for these properties, however they are being held very tightly and as a result the few that do reach the market are selling very quickly and for good prices.

I believe that one of the main reasons for this is that there is hardly any larger blocks of land being released by developers.

These larger blocks are what Highfields was originally built on and the lifestyle that they created.

Even the smaller blocks were a quarter of an acre which is twice the size of your modern Middle Ridge block.

It would be nice to see a developer come along and develop some of the larger blocks — again, they would sell extremely well.

There are a lot of buyers who still want room for a shed, pool and room for a veggie patch and the kids to play.

Wishing everyone a happy Easter, and if you haven’t been before, check out over Easter the Pioneer Village — it’s a great place that the whole family will enjoy.
