WHAT DO YOU THINK MAKES STEL­LAR SER­VICE?

Our goal is for ev­ery cus­tomer to leave our fam­ily busi­ness happy and sat­is­fied. We work hard to pro­vide our cus­tomers with the kind of ex­pe­ri­ence we’d be happy with. We lis­ten to what the cus­tomer needs and use our ex­pe­ri­ence to pro­vide the best so­lu­tion for their re­quire­ments. We per­son­ally carry heavy items to cus­tomers’ cars, pro­vide a de­liv­ery ser­vice seven days a week, and as­sist in any way we can.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THIS IN­DUS­TRY?

Lorelei and I pur­chased High­fields Gar­den Cen­tre six years ago. Lorelei has al­ways been an avid gar­dener. One way or an­other we’ve both ac­cu­mu­lated numer­ous years worth of ex­pe­ri­ence from sev­eral dif­fer­ent di­rec­tions.

ARE YOU A DAR­LING DOWNS OR HIGH­FIELDS LO­CAL?

Both of us were born and raised in the Toowoomba district all our lives, and we’ve been liv­ing near Gowrie Junction for over 17 years.

HOW OLD IS THE BUSI­NESS?

High­fields Gar­den Cen­tre has been in busi­ness since 1986, but we be­lieve it pos­si­bly ex­isted un­der an­other name be­fore that.

WHAT DO YOU PRIDE YOUR­SELF ON?

Top-qual­ity prod­ucts, fair prices and out­stand­ing cus­tomer ser­vice. We strive to be the kind of busi­ness you’d rec­om­mend to Mum or Grandma. We’re here to save every­one time and money.

WHAT DO YOU AT­TRIBUTE YOUR SUC­CESS TO?

Any busi­ness is only as good as its staff, but the qual­ity of prod­ucts is a very close se­cond to that. At the end of the day no busi­ness can suc­ceed with­out its cus­tomers. We wouldn’t be here to­day with­out the on­go­ing sup­port of both our reg­u­lar and oc­ca­sional cus­tomers that al­low us to help them with their gar­den­ing and land­scap­ing needs.

WHAT’S IN THE FU­TURE FOR YOUR BUSI­NESS?

Over the past six years we have con­tin­ued to ex­pand and im­prove the range of prod­ucts and ser­vices we of­fer to cus­tomers and that re­mains an on­go­ing ex­er­cise as space and time al­low.

I’d like to thank every­one for sup­port­ing our lo­cal fam­ily busi­ness. Ev­ery time you shop at a small busi­ness, you’re help­ing not only the lo­cal fam­ily that owns the busi­ness, but all their em­ploy­ees too. Lo­cal small busi­ness pro­vides per­son­alised ser­vice that big cor­po­ra­tions haven’t even heard of.
