NEVER STOP LEARNING

Highfields' Own - - Education -

Technological advancements, new scientific discoveries and changes in policy or legislation mean we have to keep ourselves informed about the changing world around us.

If we don’t, we’ll be left behind, confused and concerned.

Luckily there are plenty of opportunities to learn. Let’s start with your local library. Visit the Highfields Library and find out about computer classes that will fill in all the gaps about basic computers, emailing, online banking and social media as well as cyber safety, ipads, mobile phones and tablets.

All Toowoomba Library users have access to Lynda.com with more than 4000 free online courses and more than 200,000 video tutorials on the latest commercial software including business, photography, multi-media, marketing, music and web design.

If you visit www.eventbrite.com.au and search the Toowoomba area you will find courses with small fees that cover everything from web design to essential oils and parenting to bike maintenance.

If you’re really serious about learning, but not ready to enrol in tertiary education, have a look at online TAFE courses which can offer anything from business, beauty, education, accounting and animal care, all from the comfort and ease of your very own home.

Convenience is key!

DON’T GET LEFT BEHIND – KEEP UP TO DATE WITH COMMUNITY CLASSES
