Lotto luck in Forrestfield
LUCK’S with the customers of a Forrestfield newsagent.
A Wundowie FIFO worker became WA’s latest millionaire when he won $1.4 million after buying a Lotto ticket from Forrestfield Marketplace News owner Fred Geb.
“I also sold a division 2 winner on the same evening to a different person worth $10,194,” Mr Geb said.
“It’s very unusual to get a division 1 and 2; it’s hard enough to get a division 1. “The luck’s in Forrestfield. “That was my 14th major prize win since I’ve been there.”
The Wundowie Megadraw winner plans to hang up his hi-vis.
“I nearly choked on my can of JD and coke when I found out,” he said. “This win means more time with my wife and kids after really struggling to be away from them.
“FIFO just about nailed me – it was a choice between my health and the money.”
He was one of five WA Megadraw winners to pick up $1 million.
They included a Willetton family, a middle-aged couple from Hillarys and an Aveley woman in her 40s who picked up her winning ticket from Nextra Express Ellenbrook.
A winning ticket was also sold at Helena Estate Pharmacy and News.
